TUESDAY JANUARY 6TH, 2015
Well it's a new year so on to some new goals and achievements!
Recently I've started working on some kick boxing exercises and combos to increase my body control, strength and flexibility - and to prepare for our Thailand trip (me and my daughter) in July. I'm not looking to fight or compete, but I do plan to visit a gym (or two) in Thailand to train and 'have a go' in the home of the sport!
In November I ran my second half marathon and really enjoyed it - I beat my first run time by about 6 minutes coming in at 1:51. I have registered for the Cape Brett Challenge in April in the 17km event. It's an off road run thats said to be awesome. It'll be great doing it with my good friend Kim too, plus we are making a weekend of it with partners and family by staying the weekend at Pawhaoa Bay to be closer to the action. Can't wait!
I've also embarked on a 'get ripped' mission which is proving difficult, especially during Xmas/NY when over-eating is the norm! All good, keep on keeping on!
Here's a short video of todays train with Grant, Niki and Pita:
